How do I make a payment in Smile online banking?

You can use online banking to pay an existing recipient or someone new. You’ll need your login details to get started. 

  • Log in to online banking
  • Go to your Accounts homepage
  • Click Move Money
  • Follow the instructions on screen. Once you've filled in the relevant details, click Next
  • If you’re paying someone new, you’ll need a card reader to complete this action. 

If you do not have a card reader, you can download our mobile banking app where you can make a one off payment, of up to £250, to an existing beneficiary or someone new, without using a card reader. You will need to have registered for Telephone Banking in order to access your account via our mobile app.

If you don’t have a card reader or are unable to download our mobile app, you can make a payment by calling us on 03457 212 212 (6am - 10pm, 7 days a week) (Call Charges).
