What happens once I've applied for a smile loan
If your application is successful, we'll send your loan agreement form and standing order mandate in the post. You must read and complete these forms and return to us in the pre-paid envelope before we transfer your funds.
Sometimes we may request further information to confirm income, proof of ID or address.
Once we have received your signed agreement form and standing order mandate we will send a confirmation letter to you in 1-2 working days and the money will be available for you in three working days (or one working day if transferred to a smile current account).
If we need to confirm your income, ID or address this may delay the process for 1-2 working days.
If your application is unsuccessful, we'll send you a secure message on application tracker including further information and explain what to do if you want to appeal against our decision.
