Is contactless technology secure?
When your new card is issued, you’ll first need to use it as a Chip and PIN/signature card so that we know your card hasn’t got into the wrong hands. For added security we’ll also ask you to enter your PIN every now and again, during a contactless transaction. This way, we can carry on protecting you when using contactless.
