What is a funds supermarket?
It’s where you can browse and buy all in one convenient place…no more tramping up and down the high street. Together with Fidelity, we're able to offer access to a large choice of discounted funds, giving you quality and value. We make it simple for you to pick and mix different funds to create your own individual portfolio to match your needs and circumstances.

What is for sale in the supermarket?
Our shelves are stacked with investment funds. Funds are a way of investing in the stock market without actually buying and owning individual shares yourself. They also allow access to lots of other types of investments, such as bonds, unit trusts and OEICs, if that sort of thing turns you on. When you invest, your money goes into a large pot that’s invested on your behalf by a professional Fund Manager. It’s their job to do their best to make sure that the value of the fund, and your investment, grows. But remember, the value of a fund investment changes daily and you may end up with less capital than you started out with.   back to top

Do I pay tax on my shopping?
It’s up to you…If you’re buying new funds all you need to decide is whether to buy inside or outside an ISA…in an ISA means hands off taxman. You can also transfer existing PEPs and ISAs. back to top

How do I get my shopping home?
Once you've applied for your fund, Fidelity Investment Services will manage it on your behalf, but, just for your peace of mind, you can log into your funds account through smile invest at all times. You can view your accounts online simply and easily using our Account Management tool. back to top
