What can I do on this page?

You can complete a range of account servicing tasks:

  • Change your statement settings
  • View statements and transactions

What is my current balance?

The balance shown online doesn't include interest accrued until this is applied at six month intervals on 5th January and 5th July. If you'd like to settle your loan or request an up-to-date balance you can contact us on 03457 212 212 (Call charges) to request a settlement figure.

Can I make overpayments?

You can’t make overpayments online. But you can make them by visiting us in branch or calling us on 0345 028 8696.

Can I repay my loan early and in full?

Yes you can repay your loan in full at any time. If you repay your existing loan before the end of its term, we may charge you an additional 28 days' or 58 days' interest, depending on the duration of your loan at the time you took it out. Read more about repaying your loan early.

Can I make partial early repayments on my loan?

If your loan was taken out after 10th June 2010 you're able to make payments in addition to your regular monthly payment amount.

Any payment made will contribute towards reducing the term on your loan. You must first register your intention to make a partial early repayment.

To register your request either visit us in branch, call 03457 212 212 (Call charges) or write to the Co-operative Bank, PO BOX 200, Delf House, Skelmersdale WN8 6GH.

The letter should be clearly marked 'Partial Early Repayment Request' and include the full loan account number. Once the request has been registered you will receive information on the process to be followed to make the partial early repayment.

Can I take a repayment holiday on my personal loan?

We don't offer repayment holidays on our loans.

Protecting your money

Your eligible deposits with The Co-operative Bank are protected up to a total of £85,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the UK’s deposit guarantee scheme. This limit is applied to the total of any deposits you have with The Co-operative Bank and smile. Any total deposits you hold above the limit between these brands are unlikely to be covered.
